Due to a letter signed by Rav Elyashiv shlita and the mashgiach of Lakewood insanity reigns.
What happened is 40 girls were left without any school after the summer, in lakewood N.J. The issue at hand was the school they attended before the summer was a place for "weaker" students, and therefore could not raise funds, so it was forced to close.The majority of the young ladies were divided up between the local bais yakovs, but 40 were left abandoned to graze freely and eat pizza.
And so our mighty gedolim in have commanded that all girl schools in lakewood be closed until these 40 have a home.

WOW I wish I was a 17 year old boy living in lakewood right now!

850 teenage girls whose daddies are in Bais Medresh and Mommies are hard at work.

This reminds of the conversation between Amram and Yocheved (Paroh lo gazroo rock al ha zachrim).We had a problem for 40 kids, now we have a epidemic for over a thousand.Why not force those principals into your living room in Jerusalem, with no food or conjugal visits until they have figured this out?
