Israel needs more anything. It so happens that the high majority of Olim (Immigrants) are observant Jews and the majority of Yordim are non observant. Olim generally are infused with a long history and Jewish love of the land.

I detect some hostility in your voice. Why the negativity brother?

Having worked in NY and Rockland County, I've had first-hand contact with many people who have become Olim. A few are wonderful and are vital to Israel. Too many of those I've met are bedecked in religious trappings and the nicest thing I could say about them are that they are a chillul hashem. They will give nothing to Israel and take all they can get.

While you have had more experiences than I ( I am not 66). My experiences with olim have been very positive (Brooklyn and out of towner)

To quote my rebbe John Lennon,

    All you need is love.

    Love is all you need.
